April 2019 - The Village

Another great night of learning and fun with photography at last week’s meeting of FCC. 17 entries were received for out April competition – The village. Well done to all who entered photos. Many miles travelled and many home towns revisited over the last few weeks. 
Congratulations to the winners.
First in Grade 1 and 1st Overall Eimear Quigley who travelled many miles around North Cork & West Waterford before heading west to the Beara Peninsula and capturing a beautiful image in the village of Eyries. 2nd Overall Michael Walsh also travelled to Eyries and entered an image from the other end of the town. 3rd Overall & First in Grade 2 Deidre Casolani who took her winning picture in her other home town of Birgu in Malta during a visit there recently catching up with old friends. First in Grade 3 Norna Brennan with a super image of the local butcher in Golden Co Tipperary who kindly agreed to come to the door way a pose for her.

 

Our next meeting is on Tuesday 14th May where, amongst other things, there will be a demonstration on camera cleaning, members are welcome to bring along their camera.

 

Our next competition on 28th May is Shapes & Curves and this is a projected competition.  Other upcoming competitions over the next few months include Action, All Creatures Great & Small and a picture inspired by a poem. Lots of opportunities for Fun with Photography.
